Weinfest "Weinwettstreit" Grünstadt

Every year on the fourth weekend of July, Luitpoldplatz transforms into a festive wine village, inviting guests to enjoy a large wine tasting, celebrate, and relax. The adjacent Synagogenplatz becomes a small amusement park with rides and candy booths.

In collaboration with wineries, catering businesses, and showmen, the organizers from the Grünstadt city administration put together a diverse and entertaining program featuring daily live music, wine enjoyment, and culinary delights.

Over the course of four days, eight music bands and orchestras provide entertainment on the centrally located stage at Luitpoldplatz. "Music is in the air," it is said daily, especially since the styles and genres of music could hardly be more different and diverse - there is something for every taste.

Throughout the four days, eight wineries from Asselheim and Sausenheim serve their own wines in the wine village. The family of the wine countess is also represented with a stand.

The eight wine stands are arranged side by side in a large festival tent, with the centrally located stage visible from all stands. Two catering businesses are positioned at both ends. Each vendor has seating available in both indoor and outdoor areas. The outdoor areas are partially covered with large umbrellas, and wine barrels offer popular standing places.

At Synagogenplatz, the parking lot behind the Jost fashion house, showmen operate a small but fine amusement park with bumper cars, children's rides, game and claw machines, as well as crepe and candy stands.

The wine village and amusement park are open on Fridays from 5 PM, Saturdays from 11 AM, Sundays from 10:30 AM, and Mondays from 11 AM until 11 PM each evening.

The showmen look forward to welcoming numerous "small and large" guests.
