To warm up for the wine festival, the Sausenheim festival committee invites everyone already on Thursday from 5 PM to enjoy a communal snack at the "Long Table" in the festival square. Guests bring their own snacks, and drinks are served - everyone enjoys food and drink together in a cozy atmosphere before the festival is traditionally "unearthed" at 9:30 PM.
The official opening takes place on Friday at 4:30 PM at the Weedplatz.
At Weedplatz, the festival square in the town center, a small amusement park with rides for children, a candy stand, and festival booths is set up throughout the festival period, open daily at the following times: Fridays from 5 PM, Saturdays from 2 PM, Sundays from 11 AM, and Mondays from 2 PM.
Food and drink are also well catered for: The catering stands of the Sausenheim festival committee and the TuS Sausenheim 1897 e.V. offer beverages from Thursday to including Monday.
In the wineries - Wine, culinary delights, and music from Friday to Sunday:
Wineries participate with open courtyards during this year's wine festival and invite guests to enjoy a pleasant stay and tasting. Excellent wine and sparkling wine specialties as well as culinary delights can be sampled in a cozy atmosphere.
Festival football and live music on Saturday:
In the afternoon starting at 3 PM, a festival football match of the TuS Sausenheim is scheduled, and in the evening, from 8 PM live music will be performed on stage.
Festival parade on Sunday:
The traditional festival parade, which attracts countless visitors every year, starts at 2 PM in the Kalkerde and moves through the streets of Sausenheim.
Festival games for young and old on Monday:
Festival Monday is also "Game Day": A game mobile, featuring a colorful mix of games for children, will be at the festival Monday starting at 2 PM in the Weedplatz. At 9:30 PM, the celebrations and festival activities will come to an end with the funeral of the festival, when the "Sausrummer Kerb" will be laid to rest.
