In 2014, Clemens Seitz founded the group to reinterpret swing, Latin, and blues numbers, as well as chansons and jazz standards.
On June 26, enjoy a musical evening with the Clemens Seitz Septet in the unique atmosphere of the Bootsscheune Wangen. The event begins at 7:00 PM and ends around 9:00 PM. Admission is free, so everyone is cordially invited to enjoy this diverse concert evening.
The ensemble traces its roots back to the “Clemens Seitz Quintet,” founded in 2014, which was originally created to interpret swing, Latin, and blues pieces, as well as chansons and jazz standards, in new, fresh arrangements. Over the years, the project has evolved and has now grown into a septet.
At the center is the expressive vocals of Ute Kircher, which lend the program a special emotional depth. She is accompanied by Sven Rieger on guitar, Bernd Köhler on bass, and Thomas Dietrich on drums, who together provide a solid yet lively musical foundation.
The wind instruments—including the clarinet, alto saxophone, and melodica played by Clemens Seitz, as well as the trombone, trumpet, and flugelhorn played by Herbert Köpfler and Dietmar Honka—enrich the soundscape in many ways. They create colorful arrangements, spontaneous musical moments, and a special joy of playing that is contagious to the audience.
The program spans styles ranging from swing, Latin, and blues to jazz, blending classical elements with modern interpretations. This creates a diverse concert evening that appeals to both lovers of traditional jazz and curious listeners alike.
The Bootsscheune Wangen, located directly on Lake Constance, provides the perfect setting: a relaxed, open atmosphere where music and surroundings come together in a special way. Visitors can look forward to a summer evening full of sonic diversity, improvisation, and musical passion.
