Markus Mauthe (born 1969) is a trained photographer, filmmaker, author, and speaker. Driven by his curiosity and thirst for adventure, he discovered nature photography at an early age. The privilege of traveling and the experiences that came with it led him to become a dedicated environmental activist. The focus of his work is to highlight global connections through personal stories, as well as films and photos from around the world. In doing so, he centers on topics such as climate protection, sustainability, and treating one another with dignity. Since 2003, he has worked as an ambassador for Greenpeace, with whom he travels on extensive lecture tours.
