Along the route, participants encounter various stations that are oriented towards the elements of nature and reflect central phases of life. Terms such as beginning, departure, pause, becoming aware, turning point, turning back, reorientation, crossroad, and return provide impulses for reflection and invite one to contemplate their own life journey.
The ecumenically designed "Life Path," jointly initiated by the Catholic parish and the Protestant church community in Alsenborn, passes by selected places with special symbolic significance: from the Alsenz spring as a symbol for the beginning of a journey, to the wayside cross, a resting bench, and the family tree, up to stations such as "fatal accident," wide vistas, a field cross, and a labyrinth. Additional significant points are the Christ thorn at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the "end of a path" at the sarcophagi at the Protestant church, as well as the rosebush at the rectory.
This guided tour is more than a walk – it is a path for body and soul and offers space for reflection, exchange, and new perspectives.
