Solomon and the Lilies of the Field

Musical Performance with the DoReMi Singing School The cheeky novice Clara-Maria hasn’t quite grasped the whole “lilies of the field” thing. Yet she is quite smitten with King Solomon. So God transports her and her fellow novice Stella to Israel during the time of King David. There, she can see for herself Solomon in all his wisdom and splendor. However, some things are a bit different than she had imagined… Witty dialogue and catchy tunes accompany royal trust in God, a domineering mother, everyday worries, and high politics. This children’s musical was created in 2006 as a joint production by Ronald Klein (libretto) and the Düsseldorf church musicians Markus Hinz, Odilo Klasen, Christof Krippendorf, Christoph Seeger, Rudolf von Gersum, and Klaus Wallrath. The approximately 140 members of the DoReMi Singing School will present this musical in a lavish production.
