In the Footsteps of the Waldshut Violin Makers II
In the 17th and 18th centuries, several families—including those of Johann Konrad Stoppel, Konrad Ergele, and Johann Peter Wieser—are documented as having made significant contributions to what is known as “Alemannic violin making.” With this small concert series in the beautiful 17th-century Waldshut Gottesackerkapelle, we set out to explore this ancient Waldshut tradition.
