Mushroom Tour at the Nagold Dam

Join mushroom expert Sabine Neumann on a search for edible mushrooms in the autumn forest. The goal of this guided tour is to collect, identify, and classify mushrooms. Mushrooms form one of the largest groups in the plant kingdom. On this fascinating excursion, discover their life cycle, diverse colors, striking shapes, and distinctive identifying characteristics. Join mushroom expert Sabine Neumann, armed with a basket and knife, at the Eisvogel Information Pavilion. We’ll collect mushrooms in the surrounding area and then discuss them together. Sabine Neumann will also bring a larger selection of mushrooms and explain their identifying characteristics and, of course, their edibility. Participants should bring a basket and knife for collecting, writing materials for notes, as well as sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. Please note: Mushrooms often grow on steep slopes and in rough terrain, so sure-footedness is required.
