Curator-led tour: "Childhood in the Elz Valley"

Prams, autograph books, Game Boys, and action figures—numerous personal items in the exhibition “Childhood in the Elztal” tell the story of this special phase of life. The special exhibition at the Elztal Museum shows how children grew up in the Elztal between 1945 and 2000 and which traditions, games, and everyday objects shaped their daily lives. Memories from 18 former Elztal children lend the exhibition a particularly personal and authentic touch. A Look Behind the Scenes Museum Director Angela Witt-Meral and Curator Andrea Knittel offer an in-depth look at the exhibition during a total of six evening tours. During these tours, they not only discuss the creation of the exhibition but also provide insight into the individual life stories. The first curator-led tour takes place on Wednesday, May 6, at 6 p.m. Participation costs 9 euros per person.
