To raise public awareness about the issue of violence against women and girls, the Feminism Working Group of the Marburg Network for Democracy and Against Right-Wing Extremism is organizing the event "Walking Against Violence and Fear".
This action aims to dispel the widespread belief: "Woman alone outside at night = danger!" The greatest danger for women to become victims of violence is domestic violence.
During this action, we will walk with interested women to various stations in the city (from the EPH over the Elisabeth-Blochmannplatz to the Kaffeekästchen), inform, empower, and join together.
Program highlights include:
Everyone who identifies as a woman or is perceived as a woman by their surroundings and experiences discrimination is welcome at this event.
No registration is necessary – just come by!
We will start at the Erwin-Piscator-Haus and end after about 1.5 hours at the "Kaffeekästchen"/Unterer Rudolphsplatz.
Speakers: a cooperation with the Golden Z Club of ZONTA Marburg, Wildwasser Marburg e.V. and WENDO Marburg e.V.
