KRAICHTAL GOES HIKING! along the route of the new recommended hike K9 – Kraichtal on Foot! All 9 Kraichtal districts connected on a loop trail. To mark Kraichtal’s 55th anniversary, under the motto “KRAICHTAL BLOOMS!”, residents and visitors can look forward to a very special hiking recommendation: K9 – Kraichtal on Foot! This varied route connects all nine districts of Kraichtal and invites you to actively discover the region’s scenic diversity and unique features. A flyer for the tour with information on the route is available from the City of Kraichtal. The K9 hiking recommendation is the central theme of this year’s “KRAICHTAL WANDERS!” event on July 12, 2026. Three information and refreshment stands will be set up along the route, where hikers will be provided with snacks, drinks, and tourist information materials. Kraichtal’s culinary partners, such as the Niwenburg Winery, will also participate and showcase their offerings, including a wine tasting. On this day, the route can be customized to suit individual preferences—whether in individual stages or as a complete hike. Those who prefer to hike in a group have the option to join a free guided hiking tour led by a Kraichtal tour guide. One such tour, for example, departs in the morning from the Kraichtal-Unteröwisheim hiking station and heads to the HÜGELREICH Münzesheim rest and viewpoint near Neuenbürg, where one of the information booths is located. Another guided hike starts at noon from HÜGELREICH Münzesheim, with the Menzingen Water Tower as its destination. On the day of the event, you can also take hiking breaks with panoramic views and refreshments at the Menzingen Water Tower and the AUSSICHTREICH Oberacker. High-quality Kraichtal backpacks will be raffled off at all information booths. Everyone interested is cordially invited to discover Kraichtal on foot and celebrate a blooming anniversary together!
