##### **BABETTE EID SAVE MY SOUL 2.0 QUATRÍPTYCHON – a CYCLE of panel paintings** **Opening: August 2, 2026, 12:00 p.m. Augustinian Monastery of Öhningen, Main Building, 2nd Floor** The Quatríptychon addresses current events, interpersonal conflicts, and violent confrontations. It seeks to sense these and translate them into a form appropriate to the events through intuition and sensitivity. Babette Eid calls her attempts to capture history and focus on real events “contemporary presence.” It is also about examining how these events are perceived today, lifting them out of sensory overload, digitality, and the deluge of news. Babette Eid seeks ways to experience and sense reality in world events, in war and injury; she wants to restore immediacy—this is important to her. These are not political statements or judgments. The source material for the installations consists of reports or images from the media, which are combined with everyday objects.
