WOGER, aka Wolfgang Gerbig, presents: "Tribute to Hannes Wader"
WOGER & Björn Nonnweiler
The Staufen-based singer-songwriter WOGER, aka Wolfgang Gerbig, presents—as part of his event series “Singend Poeten…”—an evening featuring his own songs and a *TRIBUTE TO HANNES WADER*, together with singer-songwriter Björn Nonnweiler from Hagen/Sauerland. The two singer-songwriters have come together in their shared admiration for their colleague Hannes Wader and have put together a program featuring a selection of his songs.
A must-see for every Wader fan!
Hannes Wader is considered one of the most famous German-language singer-songwriters in Germany. With songs like “Heute hier, morgen dort,” he has shaped and popularized the genre here in the country. Hannes Wader, now over 80 years old, no longer performs publicly for health reasons. Concertgoers can look forward to a varied evening featuring well-known Hannes Wader songs, as well as original songs by the two performers.
*WOGER*, alias Wolfgang Gerbig, lives in Staufen and has made a name for himself in the region with his songs. WOGER has also been performing his political and autobiographical songs on cabaret stages nationwide for years. He is currently on tour with his new program “Leben leben dürfen.” WOGER captivates his audience with sensitive, authentically told stories in his songs. He is a multi-instrumentalist and performs his songs live with guitar and piano, often incorporating technical refinements such as loopers, vocizers, and more. A diverse and versatile singer-songwriter in both lyrics and music.
*Björn Nonnweiler* is a singer-songwriter and storyteller. His lyrics are often profound and thought-provoking. He doesn’t shy away from the joyful aspects of life, so both lighthearted and hopeful songs find a place in his repertoire. With his brilliant guitar playing and his voice, characterized by a gentle timbre, he sings and plays his way into the hearts of his listeners. Always honest, authentic, and true to himself. Nonnweiler sings for peace, against injustice, and against violence, and is actively involved in the peace movement.
