How did this "Feschd" come about?
First of all, we are incredibly proud of what the PWV Gimmeldingen has created in the last 100 years. Exactly one hundred years ago, the winebicycle house was built – a place that today represents a true piece of home and living cultural heritage for many people from near and far. For us, it has become more than just a workplace for almost two years – it has become home.
Community is not just talked about at PWV, but lived: during hikes, excursions, work sessions around the house, or while experiencing this special nature in the Palatinate Forest together.
At the same time, we see that there have been challenges in recent years to reposition ourselves and develop further. There is a lack of young people – in general – and thus also people who are willing to volunteer and secure the long-term continuation of the association.
All the more beautiful it is to see what is currently moving: Tanja, who moved here from the Odenwald a few years ago, has energetically reintroduced the topic of "Young Families" at PWV – and is hitting a nerve. Family hikes with 30 to 50 people, many of whom are children, are currently being very well received and show the potential in this area.
We want to build on that.
With the "familiefeschd uff’m woibiet," we (the PWV Gimmeldingen & the woibiet team) want to take another step and create a day that brings young and old together – and makes the forest experienceable in a new, playful way.
