Summer Movie Series for Seniors: “Special Treatment: Who’s Grilling Whom Here?”

The Senior Cinema is a joint event organized by the Protestant and Catholic parishes, the Scala Cinema, and the City of Tuttlingen. “Special Treatment: Who’s Grilling Whom Here?” It’s really just a formality: The general meeting of a tennis club somewhere in provincial Germany is set to vote on the purchase of a new grill for club parties as the final item on the agenda. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem—were it not for the proposal to also finance a separate grill for the club’s sole Turkish member. After all, as is well known, devout Muslims are not allowed to place their grilled sausages on a grill with pork. A well-intentioned idea that pits atheists and believers, Germans and Turks, do-gooders and hardliners head-on against each other—irreverent and incredibly funny.
