A stroll through Old Hausach featuring paintings by local artists

On Museum Day, sit back and spend an hour enjoying the legacy left to us by these painters and draftsmen. The painters Harry Niecznik, the artist Paul Falk, the painter-poet Eugen Falk-Breitenbach, the woodcarver and painter Dieter Schandrach, the wine painter Karl Krug, Günter Zwick, and other artists have captured the changing times in Hausach through their beautiful works**.** The artists differ significantly. Harry Niecznik, for example, was a master printer who mastered the art of copperplate engraving as well as hand printing on handmade paper. His print shop was renowned for the high quality and attention to detail of his prints, and he employed a fascinating 14th-century technique that required great skill and experience. This allowed the artist to reproduce his works in limited editions while preserving the delicacy and depth of the engravings. We have accompanied the images by the painter-poet Eugen Falk-Breitenbach with poems, and we have also gathered many other pieces of the puzzle. We have placed similar images on a single sheet, making it clear how each artist interpreted their artwork. Through painstaking research, we have unearthed very old images of Hausach to see how Karl Keller depicted the town in 1688. **The museum team cordially invites you—we look forward to your visit.**
