Dillenburg opens up
Dillenburg's city center becomes a lively living room

Under the motto "Where people sit, the city lives!" the Förderkreis Dillenburg e.V., together with the city of Dillenburg, will launch the event series again this year, bringing life, encounters, and enjoyment to the city center.

With the campaign "Dillenburg opens up," the city center will transform into a lively living room on the last Friday of each month from May to September. Visitors can look forward to a colorful mix of street food, live music, a weekly market atmosphere, and special interactive activities on a total of 5 Fridays in the area around Marktstraße and Hauptstraße. Vendors will set up their stalls on-site during the event days and present a rich assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables, wooden and metal goods, clothing, selected Palatinate wines, homemade jams and liqueurs, mustard, and honey. In addition, visitors can look forward to sweet and savory crêpes, bratwurst, cevapi, and fries. Local restaurateurs and retailers will also open their doors and invite guests to enjoy a relaxed stroll and stay awhile.

It kicks off on Friday, May 29, when the city center will be enlivened from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with culinary delights and various goods, and children can have fun jumping on the bouncy castle on-site.

Further dates are scheduled for June 26, July 31, August 28, and September 25.

Whether for shopping, lingering, listening, or enjoying – the event series is aimed at all generations. Dillenburg's city center is to be strengthened as the heart of the city and create a space for encounters. This is exactly the objective that the organizers pursue with the new event series, hoping for many meetings on Fridays.
