"Can't you hear the trees rustling?" - Choral Concert

In this concert, the Regiswindiskirche Choir and the vocal ensemble Novere organically blend music and poetry.
The focus is on female composers such as Fanny Hensel and Amy Beach, whose choral works speak of nature, life, and love. Nature appears not only as an external landscape but also as an inner image of longing, comfort, and renewal. The music is complemented by texts from female poets such as Mascha Kaléko and Hilde Domin, who distill human experiences with subtlety and intensity in their verses. This creates a dialogue between sound and word, between music and poetry, between past and present. The concert aims to give a voice to women in music and literature.
Performing are the Regiswindiskirche Choir, the Novere women’s ensemble from Heidelberg, and a string quartet.
