Since September 2025, Stolberg Castle has been shining in new glory after a long renovation phase. Our tour takes you on a journey through time: You wander through the great tower with its observation platform – 20 meters high, 50 meters above the valley. The view? Unforgettable! You will learn why the castle was once a fortress, then a palace, how Moritz Kraus remodeled it during the Historicism period, and why it now belongs to all the people of Stolberg. And you'll discover that not everything here is as old as it seems – but everything is full of character. Experience rare castle architecture, hear stories of noble families like the von Efferen, and feel the transition from the era of knights to civic pride. No clichés, but real stories just waiting to be discovered by you.
