Hike on the Belchensteig Trail

Accompanied by an experienced hiking guide, we’ll hike through stunning scenery along the premium hiking trail and Black Forest “Belchensteig” gourmet trail up to the most beautiful mountain in the southern Black Forest. The route takes us through Lückle and the Hintergrundbach Valley to Multen before we begin the ascent to the summit of the Belchen. Once we reach the highest point at 1,414 meters above sea level, a magnificent panoramic view unfolds. The vista stretches from Freiburg across the Rhine Valley to the Vosges Mountains and further south to the Swiss Alps, which seem close enough to touch. We’ll head back via the Krinne and the Heidstein to our starting point at the Wiedener Eck. Route length: 15.1 kilometers, 675 meters of elevation gain, difficulty: difficult. Stops at one of the restaurants are possible upon request.
