It is about the fate of those who had no means of escape.
In the spring of 1942, men, women, and children were forced to move to the "Jewish camp" in Jahnstraße and were deported to extermination camps in the summer of 1942. Eight women and one man, who were married to non-Jewish partners, were deported in 1943.
For Wetzlar residents with one Jewish parent, the liberation of Wetzlar in March 1945 meant liberation from persecution and impending deportation.
