Montforter Interludes - The Night is Not Just for Sleeping

The Montforter Zwischentöne dedicate themselves in the NOW! to the night and its possibilities. The three-part evening begins with improvisations between six dancers and the four-member ensemble Plus. New connections between musical structures and movements emerge entirely in the here and now. In the second part, the audience is invited to participate: Mirjam Steinbock invites everyone to "Koreoke" - legendary choreographies will be danced along with videos. Finally, the Viennese band Yasmo & die Klangkantine will make the courtyard of the Palais vibrate. Here, razor-sharp lyrics meet captivating arrangements, and explosive joy of performance meets attitude.

Yasmo & die Klangkantine is an Austrian hip-hop and jazz band led by the rapper Yasmo. The group combines rap with big band sound and is known for energetic live performances and socially critical lyrics. Their music mixes hip-hop with jazz, funk, and soul, characterized by their colorful live lineup. Thematically, issues such as feminism, politics, and personal perspectives are at the forefront.

Ensemble Plus is a chamber music ensemble for contemporary music founded in 1996 in Bregenz. It realizes concert projects focusing on new music and regularly performs world premieres. The ensemble works with a flexible circle of musicians and frequently collaborates with composers. In addition to regional performances, it is also represented internationally at festivals.

Mirjam Steinbock is a cultural manager and managing director of IG Kultur Vorarlberg based in Feldkirch. In this role, she represents the interests of independent cultural initiatives in Vorarlberg, advocates for better conditions and fair pay in the cultural sector, and engages in cultural policy at both the state and federal levels. She is also active in various cultural projects, including as a co-founder of the association "locart," which promotes artists and cultural creators.
