Lecture on the History of the Mills on the Upper Course of the Thaya

The mills on the upper reaches of the Thaya have shaped the life, economy, and technological development of the region for centuries. In these lectures, Reinhard Bentz, Erich Kerschbaumer, Gunther Scheubrein, and Hannah Eisner provide fascinating insights into the history of the mills, the development of power supply in the Thayatal, as well as historical and modern milling processes.

Historical photographs, documents, and technical backgrounds illustrate how closely craftsmanship, energy generation, and regional life were interconnected. The significance of hydropower and the changes over time are also vividly presented.
