Between megalomania and grimness, politics and the personal, humor, melancholy, and anger, Paul Sies ventures with his songs to where it hurts. Always with pleasure, never cynical – but one is spared elsewhere. Paul’s melancholic murder ballads weave through the streets of Nick Cave's neighborhood, illuminating the darkest paths of German singer-songwriters from the 1970s, strolling like chansonniers on the trails of even earlier days. However, he always dresses the deeply sad in outrageous costumes: his songs brim with uniqueness, charm, sorrow, and comfort. Here is someone who has no desire to sell out.

His recently released single "Even in the Nazi Era, It Was Asparagus Season" went viral in no time – and rightly so. It touches, it hurts deeply, and at best, it also brings about change. A rare trifecta reserved for truly good and special songs. In early 2027, a new album will be released, and on this occasion, Paul Sies will embark on his first major tour.
