"Kammerfunk" translates to "chamber radio" in English.

With violin, clarinet, cello, and accordion, Kammerfunk draws masters from different eras out of their shells. This unique ensemble allows Bach to meet Mahler in their world and arranges encounters between Johann and Richard Strauss. Their musical journey takes them from classical music through the Balkans to the Middle East and back to the coziness of the Viennese heurigen.

In a varied repertoire titled Viennessence, the four musicians focus on the musical essence of the often-cited "world capital of music." The charming playfulness of these four musicians surprises the audience with unheard-of intensity and opens a refreshing perspective on Vienna's musical legacy.

The international ensemble consists of three musicians from the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and a solo accordionist. With their performance experience and distinctive instrumentation, Kammerfunk creates an unmistakable sound. In a playful engagement with tradition, the ensemble presents both well-known and rarely performed works.

Performing are: Stefan Pöchhacker, violin I Michael Günther, cello I Martin Rainer, clarinet I Bogdan Laketic, accordion. In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the Douglass Hall of Villa Falkenhorst.
