"Wocha teil’n" in the Strudengau

Musicians' gatherings invigorate the folk music scene in Strudengau!

STRUDENGAU. The Upper Austrian Folk Song Association invites you to a musicians' gathering titled "Wocha teil’n" starting at the end of May, every last Wednesday of the month at 6 PM, in a tavern in Strudengau.

Folk music is experiencing a resurgence in Strudengau: In recent years, numerous new ensembles have formed, including "Schallhammonie" and "Heibodnmusi" from Bad Kreuzen, "WoidHoizMusi" and "Für Sie" from Waldhausen, and the versatile ensemble "Ållerhand" from Grein.

The Upper Austrian Folk Song Association is now creating regular performance opportunities for folk music groups with the new program "Wocha teil’n."

"Our new format 'Wocha teil’n' brings folk music in Strudengau even closer to the people and turns it into a true community experience," emphasizes Sandra Ohms, chairwoman of the Upper Austrian Folk Song Association. "It is even more wonderful that dedicated musicians have initiated this idea themselves and are now regularly inviting others to join in making music together."
