The head of the ensemble, Ralf Steltner, a native Saxon and adopted Hamburger, is a versatile musician, conductor, and composer. He conducts, among others, the Hamburg Police Orchestra, is involved with the Classical Philharmonic Hamburg, and has worked for NDR and various orchestras. He was already part of the ensemble of the musical Cats in Hamburg in 1991. He arranged music for artists such as Vicky Leandros, Bill Ramsey, and Harald Juhnke and has been significantly involved in Hamburg's Engelsaal since 2009.
