THE STUPID AUGUSTINE

Who wouldn't want to ride a unicycle through the circus arena like the clown August, stumble over their own feet, juggle hot potatoes, perform tricks in the spotlight, and make the audience laugh? Augustine lives with her husband August and their little Guggilein in a caravan next to the circus. She does the laundry, irons, cooks, cleans, and takes care of the baby while August performs in the circus. Every day, she dreams of one day being able to perform in the circus ring in a clown costume with a red nose. In her admiration for August's acrobatic skills, she even burns the cake, which deeply touches August. However, he cannot imagine his beloved Augustine performing in the circus, no matter how hard he tries. One day, August gets a toothache and goes to the dentist. When the show begins, the clown is missing. Upset and perplexed, the circus director wanders through the ring. Augustine seizes her chance: she boldly steps into the ring herself.
