Jazz Session with the Christian Eckert Quartet

The Schwetzingen Jazz Initiative is hosting another edition of its monthly jazz sessions. The Christian Eckert Quartet will perform a concert during the first set. The musicians will then serve as the backing band for a jam session during the second set. Celebrating 100 years of Miles & Coltrane. To mark the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis and John Coltrane, Christian Eckert and his quartet—featuring tenor saxophonist Alberto Menendez, bassist Jan Dittmann, and drummer Holger Nesweda—will perform compositions that pay tribute to two of the greatest musical innovators of the 20th century. Coltrane revolutionized the world of harmony, while Miles revolutionized style for half a century.
Admission is free! Donations are welcome. The next session will take place on July 7.
