Seventeen-year-old Sally has run away from a clinic for eating disorders and wanders aimlessly through remote vineyards far from any towns to avoid being brought back. There she encounters a farmer whose trailer is stuck in the terrain. From this chance encounter, a fragile friendship develops over time between the two very different women. Two lonely outsiders who slowly open up to one another. Piece by piece, as if carefully peeling fruit, author Ewald Arenz reveals the life stories of the two protagonists. Director Edzard Schoppmann brings this novel to the stage as a grand narrative theater piece. The production combines sensitive moments with poetic imagery and tells of the power of an unexpected encounter.
