Joesi Prokopetz, born in 1952, with his brilliant lyrics for Ambros hits like "Da Hofa" (1971) and "Zentralfriedhof" (1975), was at the cradle of Austropop when it was still called "Dialektwelle." With "Codo" (DÖF, 1983) and "Taxi," he became a celebrated frontman and absolute bestseller before embarking on a remarkable career in the advertising industry as a gifted word artist ("Lustig samma, Puntigamer"). As the quirky cult figure "Herr Rädl" and with various solo programs, he has been conquering the cabaret stages for 30 years and has recently captivated not only his fan base but also emerged as a crime writer (latest release: "Die Blume aus dem Gemeindebau").

Dieter Chmelar, born in 1957, after a brief career on runways and screens (as a slim model, known as "Dressman" in the 1980s, and as a handsome supporting actor in risqué films), has spent nearly five decades as a journalist, columnist, cabaret artist, and TV host (including at KURIER and on ORF's pre- and prime-time shows). He wrote show texts and program points for Peter Rapp, Klaus Eberhartinger, Alfons Haider, Rainhard Fendrich, Harry Prünster, Mad Schuh, and not least for Joesi Prokopetz. Chmelar is regarded as Austria's "World Champion of Useless Knowledge" (20 times a phone joker on the "Millionenshow," 16 correct answers).
