Water fun for the whole family – Open Day at the Glockenspitze Indoor Pool in Altenkirchen

On Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld association community and the team of the indoor pool invite citizens and guests from the region to the Open Day at the Glockenspitze Indoor Pool in Altenkirchen. In November 2025, Mayor Fred Jüngerich announced such a day during the official opening.

From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., citizens and guests from the region can enjoy free admission to get to know the modern pool and experience a varied day for the whole family.

A special highlight is the big pool party: Together with the h2o-Fun Events team, the indoor pool will transform from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. into a vibrant world of experience in and around the water. Exciting animations, varied games, and plenty of action ensure a great atmosphere for both young and old guests. Water play equipment, AquaFUN offers, a bouncy castle, and face painting provide entertainment for the whole family during this time. Additionally, lively music creates the right ambiance and makes the day a true experience.

Furthermore, technical tours will be offered for interested visitors on this day.

Also away from the pool, everything is taken care of: The children's cancer aid Gieleroth and the trainee team of the association community administration will take care of the visitors' physical well-being with a diverse selection of food and drinks.

With the Open Day, the association community aims to present the indoor pool as a modern recreational and sports facility, as well as a place of encounter where movement, community, and joy are the focus.
