Freiburg Big Band

The **Windcraft Big Band** transforms the bandstand in Bad Krozingen’s spa gardens into a thrilling open-air stage filled with jazz, Latin music, and groovy rhythms. Founded in 2018 by musicians from the Freiburg jazz scene, the group has been thrilling audiences since its debut on the main stage of the State Garden Show in Lahr with a fresh sound and palpable enthusiasm. As “wind artisans” in the truest sense of the word, the band brings a powerful big band sound to South Baden—sometimes swinging, sometimes grooving, always captivating. The varied program ranges from classic jazz and Latin pieces to modern arrangements of a wide variety of styles. The focus is on rhythm, groove, and the joy of live music—the perfect ingredients for an atmospheric summer evening under the open sky. And best of all: dancing is expressly allowed!
