Public Summer Festival at Grube Fortuna

Under the motto "Celebrating for a really good cause!" the Giessen Parents' Association for children with leukemia and cancer invites you to the public summer festival at Grube Fortuna on Sunday, June 21, 2026, starting at 12 p.m. All proceeds will go directly to the young patients of the Giessen Children's Cancer Unit Peiper.

Visitors can expect a varied program featuring live music, lightsaber shows, cosplayers, cheerleaders, magic performances, as well as mine tours and guided tours of the visitor mine. A special highlight is the grand tombola with attractive prizes such as a family weekend at Center Parc, a scenic flight, or an e-scooter.

Thanks to numerous sponsors, many offerings are free of charge, ensuring that the proceeds fully benefit the good cause.

The Parents' Association has been supporting children with cancer and their families for over 40 years – among other things, through educational and therapeutic offerings, financial emergency assistance, and the promotion of clinic-related research in pediatric oncology.
