City + Country = 40 An Exhibition in Twelve Stations
In 1986, St. Pölten was elected the capital of Lower Austria through a public referendum. The House of History at the Museum of Lower Austria and the St. Pölten City Museum are jointly examining the changes triggered by this decision.
An outdoor exhibition at ten central locations in the city showcases how the city and countryside have developed over the past four decades. Each station highlights an important aspect of life in the region. Historical images illustrate this development. The starting and ending points of the exhibition are the two museums.
Open-Air: Exhibition: open around the clock
Museum of Lower Austria: Tue-Sun 09:00-17:00
St. Pölten City Museum: Wed-Sun 10:00-17:00
