The exhibition questions painting as an individual, singular, or even solitary practice and instead approaches it through site-specific installations and alternative image carriers. In doing so, painting is examined as a spatial, material, and collaborative practice. Starting from salt as a metaphorical frame of reference, the exhibition navigates through its properties – preserving and corroding, absorbing and drying out, crystallizing and evaporating – to reflect on collective dynamics as well as processes of negotiation and exchange.
