BKO Open Air: Feeling at Home

BKO Open Air "Hoamatgfühl" brings local sounds to the Bärnbach city park. On August 8, 2026, the Bergkapelle Oberdorf-Bärnbach invites you to a summer evening under the open sky, perfectly suited to the region: genuine, approachable, and featuring music that many know. Amidst old trees, open paths, and the tranquil park atmosphere, a concert evening unfolds with plenty of space for brass music, voices, and familiar melodies. The program spans from operetta to Austropop, folk music, and rock. Delicate melodies meet strong rhythms, and familiar songs are infused with new colors. The motto "Hoamatgfühl" is not just a grand word but a common thread running through the event. It’s about music from Austria, the joy of listening together, and the feeling of being exactly in the right place at the Bärnbach city park. The BKO Open Air has been a staple in the summer of the Graz experience region for years. Previous themes like "Love is on Air" or "Rock and more 2.0" have shown how diverse the Bergkapelle Oberdorf-Bärnbach's repertoire is. Many guests return because the evening remains relaxed yet thoughtfully organized. Refreshments will be provided. The gastronomy opens at 6:00 PM, the warm-up starts at 8:00 PM, and the concert begins at 8:15 PM. Afterwards, the evening will wind down at the After-Show Party at the BKO Bar. Admission is by voluntary donation. In case of bad weather, the alternative date is August 14, 2026. Bärnbach is accessible by public transport.
