On the Canadian West Coast, not far from the American city of Seattle and directly across from Vancouver, lies the city of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. It has not been proven that it was precisely in this beautiful place that the realization emerged that the Earth is probably not flat. The fact is that in a haunted cellar there, "Earthball" was born. Originally created out of necessity (they had a good gig for the new band but no good name yet), these five "heavyweight psychedelic improvisers" have since released several albums with earthy titles such as "Go To Earth," "Actual Earth," and "Outside Over There," and have played extensively in their Canadian homeland and Europe, including at the Le Guess Who? festival in Utrecht. It is said that Earthball makes headliners nervous because "they remain a beacon for those seeking a transcendent musical experience."
