In the Berlin Industriesalon Schöneweide, "one of the largest industrial monument ensembles in Germany," Swiss bassist Christian Weber and German drummer Michael Griener, known for their work with Aki Takase or Ellery Eskelin, met Serbian pianist Marina Džukljev. Trained classically in her hometown of Novi Sad by a student and assistant of Emil Gilels, the 43-year-old dedicates herself extensively to both new music and improvisational avant-garde, based on the "history of pianism." The result is a vibrant and crackling sound, dynamic and clattering, flowing and resonating so industrially melodic that one almost becomes a futuristic, power-generating human machine themselves.
