DEO VOLENTE – The Will of the Gods

**A play developed by Hechinger Freiheit** A young elf has disappeared, just like many others before her. Her friends search for her desperately, but keep getting caught up in their own arguments. Meanwhile, the kidnapper tries to show his latest victim the “truth,” just as he has tried before. After all, it worked once before. Will he succeed this time, or is the elf’s faith stronger? Will her friends find her in time, or will they get bogged down in pointless arguments? Hechinger Freiheit is a theater club at Hechingen High School. It consists of students in grades 8 and up who worked together throughout the 2025–26 school year to develop this play about religious fanaticism.
