Family Day around Trifels – Action-packed day of events on August 29, 2026

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, a Family Day around Trifels will take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Along the TrifelsErlebnisWeg, visitors can expect a diverse program centered around nature, history, and shared experiences.

The path from the town of Annweiler up to the Trifels Castle offers numerous interactive and informational stations that entertainingly convey the medieval world of knights, kings, and monks. Along the way, visitors can explore the Museum beneath Trifels and the Trifels Castle. Creative activities at the Kunschdhaisl, a picnic along the route, or a short break with ice cream enjoyment at the kiosk at the Schlossäcker parking lot complement the day's program.

For visitors who do not wish to walk the entire distance, a bus operates between Annweiler train station and the Schlossäcker parking lot below Trifels. The last return trip is scheduled for 4:27 p.m.

The participation fee is 15 € per family.

It is recommended to start the outing in the morning and to plan at least four hours to take advantage of all the offerings.
