Between the enchanted forest and the reservoir awaits a very special experience for families: The new **Fairy Tale Trail in Jünkerath** invites young and old visitors to an imaginative journey through nature and stories. At the **official opening celebration on June 20, 2026, starting at 2 p.m.**, you can expect a varied program for the whole family: Together with the reading & literature educator **Ulrike Erb-May**, who has provided creative impulses for the Fairy Tale Trail, you will walk the approximately 2.5-kilometer circular path along the reservoir and through the forest. At six lovingly designed stations, the fairy tale **“Six Go All Around the World”** comes alive and can be experienced in a playful way. Musical entertainment will be provided by children's singer **Uwe Reetz** **at 4:30 p.m.** with cheerful songs to sing along and participate. There will also be games and fun for all little and big guests. Drinks and snacks will also be provided. The Fairy Tale Trail uniquely combines nature, imagination, and education. Preschool and elementary school-aged children discover stories not only by listening but also with all their senses through movement, puzzles, and interactive elements along the way.
