Winners of international piano competitions will perform works for piano by J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, F. Chopin, F. Liszt, R. Schumann, and M. Moszkowski, as well as their own compositions and jazz arrangements. The concert will be performed by successful winners of international piano competitions between the ages of six and sixteen. Young artists already known to the public, such as Malina Díaz Hoffmann, Nadja Sommer, Anselm Inselmann, Emilia Bauer, Gioele Infurna, Stefan Patrick Simu, Annika Volkmar, Yohann and Henrik Klinger, Arjun Mukhopadhyay, and other young talents, will present piano works by J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, F. Chopin, F. Liszt, R. Schumann, M. Moszkowski, as well as their own compositions. One of the highlights of the program is the performance by Tobias Günth, the passionate amateur pianist and teacher at Schwetzingen’s Hebel Gymnasium, featuring three jazz arrangements by I. Farrington During a festive awards ceremony, the participants will be honored for their outstanding musical achievements. The young pianists were particularly successful this school year, winning several prizes at “Jugend musiziert” at the regional and state levels in Mannheim and Ditzingen, as well as at international competitions in Paris, Munich, and Orbetello (Italy), and were also awarded special prizes at the Lions Music Prize in Karlsruhe. The Schwetzingen Piano Studio Worm-Sawosskaja is a private institution unique in Germany, founded by the concert pianist Tatjana Worm-Sawosskaja, who lives in Schwetzingen. Its mission is to provide music-loving children as young as four with a solid piano education based on international standards. The outstanding team of instructors—including Galina Frantsuzova, Elena Ivchenko, Svetlana Zaharova, Dmitrij Koschew, Kira Terentyeva, and Tatjana Worm-Sawosskaja—plays a decisive role in shaping the work at the piano studio. The results of this exceptional musical education, combined with outstanding collaboration and support, are correspondingly impressive: Since the piano studio’s founding, students have been honored hundreds of times as successful prize winners at renowned national and international piano competitions, including in London, New York, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Montreal, Toronto, Hong Kong, Paris, Barcelona, Athens, Granada, Treviso, Orbetello, Recanati, Malta, Budapest, Sarajevo, Stockholm, St. Petersburg, Luxembourg, Salzburg, Berlin, Munich, St. Georgen, Köthen, Bitburg, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Mannheim, and Limburg an der Lahn. Many graduates of the Piano Studio now work as instructors at conservatories, music schools, and general education schools. Doors open: 4:30 p.m. Ticket reservations: t.worm-sawosskaja@web.de or by phone at 0172 – 7507439
