Gaston & Jacqueline present the magical lecture performance “Man Meets Woman.” In doing so, they blend acting, magic, and insight into a clever, humorous exploration of gender and impact, perception, and self-empowerment.
Gaston Florin and Jacqueline D’Arc enter a stage space that lies between roles, expectations, and possibilities. How do we affect others? How do we appear in public? Who are we allowed to be—for ourselves and for others? And who can we become when we stop holding on?
Transformation happens here not only on stage, but also in the eyes of the audience. Between acting, improvisation, and precise body language, a space emerges in which identity is set in motion.
Gaston and Jacqueline play with what people see, expect, and interpret. They show how certainties crumble as soon as body, voice, clothing, and presence no longer fit into familiar categories. “Man Meets Woman” is not an explanation, not a showy effect, and not a lecture, but a theatrical-magical self-inquiry: sometimes quiet, sometimes funny, sometimes astonishingly direct.
This creates a form that does not define identity, but makes it tangible—in the gaze of others, in one’s own demeanor, and in the permission not to remain fixed. The evening begins with humor and resonates in areas where social rules often remain invisible.
A performance about men and women, about transitions and attributions, about the stage and everyday life—and about the freedom to understand identity not as a boundary, but as movement.
