To open this year's Raiffeisen Week, a lecture by Dr. Ralf Kölbach will take place on July 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cultural Centre Hamm. The spokesperson for the board of Westerwald Bank eG and chairman of the board of the Deutsche Friedrich-Wilhelm-Raiffeisen-Gesellschaft e.V. will address the question of the current significance of the cooperative idea.
Artificial intelligence is already fundamentally changing our working world today – often faster than it is publicly discussed. Labour markets are under pressure, social security systems face new challenges, and central questions come into focus: How much work will there be for people in the future? And what answers does a changing society need?
Especially in times of growing uncertainty and structural upheaval, the search for reliable models of orientation gains importance. The cooperative idea offers a surprisingly relevant approach: it stands for solidarity, self-help, and collective action – values that can help actively shape economic and social changes.
Cooperatives are “built to last”. Sustainability is their DNA. And that fits well with the times.
Dr. Kölbach will show in his lecture why cooperative principles are not only historically relevant but can also provide answers to the pressing questions of our time – and why he believes that within them lies a key to the future.
Admission is free.
