The Deidesheim Wine Festival is the main highlight of the wine culture year for the holiday destination of Deidesheim with the wine villages of Forst, Niederkirchen, Meckenheim, Ruppertsberg and Deidesheim, as well as their wineries, associations and restaurateurs. It combines the long wine-growing tradition of the region with the joie de vivre of its people in a special way.

During the Weinkerwe, everything in the wine metropolis of Deidesheim revolves around culture, art and wine-related delights. Over 60 wineries, ateliers, restaurants and shops introduce visitors to a world of (wine) indulgence.

On the Wine Route, numerous wineries have opened up their farms and Marktplatz is in full splendour. The actual "Woigass" on Bahnhofstraße draws in visitors to browse its varied culinary offering at the almost 30 stands. Surrounded by the cosy ambience of the sycamore trees on Stadtplatz , wine and sparkling wine suppliers sell their products and a varied programme on the cabaret stage provides entertainment.
