20 Years of the Tuttlingen Community Foundation — Community Festival in Bürgerpark

The Tuttlingen Community Foundation is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The celebration will take place over a weekend in September. On Sunday, September 13, there will be a community festival in Bürgerpark. The Tuttlingen Community Foundation was established in April 2006. At that time, more than 100 residents and local businesses contributed a total of 516,000 euros as seed capital for the foundation. Since then, the Tuttlingen Community Foundation has funded around 240 projects with a total of approximately 530,000 euros—and has grown its capital to over 1.4 million euros. Now the anniversary is being celebrated—over two days. On Sunday, September 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Community Foundation invites everyone to a community festival in Bürgerpark. Around the Kulturhaus, visitors can look forward to a day full of socializing, music, and hands-on activities. Musicians from Tuttlingen will perform on stage, while clubs, schools, kindergartens, and other initiatives will showcase their work in the Kulturhaus and at booths in the Bürgerpark. Many of the clubs and groups that the Community Foundation has supported over the past few years will be presenting themselves. Catering will be provided by the Heimatforum—and, above all, by the Community Foundation itself: Together with caterer Günter Kummerländer, members of the Executive Board and the Foundation Council will prepare stews and other hearty specialties, which will be distributed free of charge.
