In the footsteps of extraordinary women who have significantly shaped the history of the city. This city tour, based on portraits of interesting women, takes you away from well-known paths through the history of Speyer. The focus is on the life stories of the empresses of the Salian dynasty, the Jewish women of the famous Speyer community, as well as poets, painters, and socially engaged individuals. A portrait of Edith Stein, who lived and worked in Speyer for several years, is also included. A look into the past that promises new insights for understanding the present for both women and men.

The next guided tours will take place on August 15 and November 15 at 11 a.m. and on December 10 at 6 p.m.

The tour is offered only in German.
