Open Monument Day in Neuenstadt | Guided Tour of the Tower, Church, and Crypt

As part of the parish fair, guided tours of churches, towers, and crypts offer the opportunity to learn more about Neuenstadt and its history. Various themed tours shed light on Neuenstadt’s historical development. The routes of the church, tower, and crypt tours, which take place between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., pass by the historic landmarks in the city center as well as the famous linden tree grove with its approximately 100 stone columns. In addition to the architecture, the tours focus on historical events and anecdotes: Topics include the period when the Dukes of Württemberg resided here, the former distribution of blood-purifying pills by Eduard Mörike’s cousin, and the historical background behind the collapse of Neuenstadt’s city tower.
