It is night. Deep dark winter night. An old wolf trots to the village of animals. In his bag, he has a stone. In his mouth, only one tooth. And in his head, an idea: To make a tasty soup from the stone. So he knocks on the door of the hen. Curious, she opens the door for him. She has never seen a wolf before. When he unpacks his stone in the middle of the room and asks for a cauldron, she becomes a bit anxious for her little hen heart. What if the gray fellow is in the mood for a stronger broth? A bit of celery for the soup can’t hurt, the hen quickly suggests. Gradually, the animals - horse, sheep, goat, dog, and duck - enhance the bland broth with all kinds of vegetables. And as good neighbors, they invite themselves to dinner as well. In the end, the soup is all gone. Only the stone is not quite cooked.
